About the Artist

When not painting in her studio, on the Heritage Coastline, South Wales, Artist Francine Davies will be found submerged in the sea researching her favourite subject.  This ongoing relationship with environments that uplift and inspire has been the catalyst for her latest series of paintings of Iceland.

Francine’s work draws the viewer towards the beauty and energy of the natural world through a detailed study of texture, movement and perspective.  Her career as an artist draws together her studies in Geography and Geology, community development and creative practice.  Her fascination with the relationship between people and place underpins her own desire to reconnect people to the natural environment through her Art.

Francine exhibits regularly in London, and has recently taken down her latest collection : A window on Iceland at the Iceland Embassy.  Her work is also exhibited regularly in South Wales, Cardiff, and more locally along the Heritage Coastline.
